Active, involved adult volunteers are vital to allowing the Scouts in Troop 715 to take advantage of the many opportunities open to them. Parents can help informally by providing transportation on outings, as a registered Scouter, or as a member of the troop committee.
Selected adult leaders:
Scoutmaster: John McCulla
Charter Organization Representative: Jim Barden
Committee Chair: Hil Richardson
Leadership education is an important part of Scouting. The Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters are considered trained when they have completed New Leader Essentials, Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
The troop committee consists of parents concerned with the formation of the troop's basic policies, outings, advancement, and fund raising. Troop committee members are considered trained when they have completed New Leader Essentials and Committee Challenge as their Leader Specific Training.
Some training can be completed on line by going to the BSA On line Learning Center at www.olc.scouting.org. Council's training schedule can be found at www.hovbsa.org at the Training link or on The Cardinal District's website at http://www.cardinaldistrict.net/.
